Follies Circus
This is the one theme that creates the most comments and interest!
And, just to save you asking, yes, all four paintings really were painted using a stick, not a brush in sight!!
The Lion is almost everyone's favourite. It's full of vibrant oranges and yellows. The eyes of the lion always seem to be looking right at you, regardless of where you are in the room.
The Acrobat is portrayed mid-tumble, eyes open, ready to release that energy, in a body that coiled like a spring.
The Elephant is neither male nor female, but is the based on the feelings derived from the matriarchal led society.
The Clown can be seen just about anywhere, doing just about anything. What ties all clowns together is a keen sense of the absurd, and a willingness to perform.
Dot Drawings
These were created by using an immensely small tipped ink pen. The sort of drawing instrument that is more at home on an architects desk.
To create this type of art takes an incredible amount of time, precision and patience. The drawing is created by thousands and thousands of tiny hand drawn dots. Built up one by one. It's not unusual for a dot drawing to take six weeks to complete!
Thanks for stopping by!!
